Guildhall Wado Kai (est. 1990) We have now returned to the Guildhall (april 2009) !
Ken Harrison 5th Dan Club Instructor
Guildhall Wado Kai are unique in the fact they are based in the heart of the City of London & that they train around working hours (ish) to suit City folk. Most students will only be able to train with Guildhall for as long as their working contract lasts before they move on (though Ken does have some die hards from over 19 years that still train regularly with him).
The Club have welcomed many overseas Karateka (from Brazil, Holland, Germany, Australia) over the years & also have had many Black Belts from many different styles train at the Club ( Kata was always an eye opener & they also had a Shotokan section for many years!).
The Club has generally always been just Adults, though now we do have a very successful Junior section which trains Tuesday evenings & Thursday's during School holidays.
All are welcome, from beginner to advanced level, everyone is taught to their own capabilities.
The Club has trained in at least 30 different Dojo's in the City over the past 19 years. Training Times; Tuesday Evening 5.30 pm -6.45 pm Thursday Lunchtime 12.30 pm - 1.30 pm
The lessons being short are fast paced & tend to cover a lot of ground quickly - literally!
