Yvette Holyoake

Yvette started her Karate training with Ian Cuthbert, Senior Coach with the UKA, in January 1994. Yvette competed in many Kata events throughout the years & also assisted as an Official for the UKA in these events.

She was asked to Coach the Karate Teams for the London Borough of Waltam Forest, taking the Teams to the Heathrow Youth games. Also organising the first Waltham Forest Open Karate competion for the Borough.

Yvette began training with Eric Krappinger in 2000 at Waltham Forest Wado Kai as she was looking for a more traditional form of Wado Ryu, which was being taught at the ELWK.

Dan Grades - 1st Dan 2001 & also accepted as a Club Instructor.

Previous to joining the ELWK Yvette had been teaching for the UKA since 1996 in London.

When Yvette moved, she formed the West Sussex Wado Kai in 2002, where she teaches at clubs in Bognor Regis & Rustington.Though she still retains strong links with the ELWK by training once a month with Eric at his private Dojo in Walthamstow & attending both inhouse ELWK & external seminars with Sensei's Tatsuo Suzuki, Shingo Oghami & Kunaiki Sakagami.
